Tuesday Takeaways: NFL Week 3 Reactions

Week 3 of the NFL season has come and gone! Here are a few thoughts and reactions regarding this past weekend! Comment your thoughts and takeaways! 1. Mahomes looks human. It feels like we do this every September, where the Chiefs do not look dominant and then we look at the standings and they're undefeated and leading the AFC. That being said, this is the most "normal" I can remember Patrick Mahomes ever looking. A lot of it is game scripts and play calling, but we just have simply seen less of his superhero type plays early in this season. Even so, there is no QB in the league you would rather have come January/February. 2. KOC and Tomlin are my two standout coaches. There have been many coaches so far that have been brilliant, but there are two that standout to me. Kevin O'Connell is one of the absolute best play callers in the league and seems to have an unbelievable culture that he has set in Minnesota. Mike Tomlin is an all time great, that I think is still und

Tuesday Takeaways: NFL Week 2 Reactions

We have made it through the first two weeks of the NFL season! Let me know any overreactions, hot takes, disagreements, or thoughts you have so far regarding the early season! 1. Are the Saints legit?! Everyone tossed New Orleans' dominance in week 1 to the Panthers being dreadful, but dominating the Cowboys in Arlington really opened the eyes of the league. Klint Kubiak looks like a genius play caller. The Saints have scored points on every single drive that Derek Carr has led the offense onto the field. Alvin Kamara is doing what he does and Derek Carr is playing with a swagger we have not seen him ever play with (see his Michael Jackson celebration). I am still hesitant to announce that the Saints have arrived, but if they put on a comparable performance next week versus Philadelphia, I think it will be time to put the Saints amongst the NFC contenders comfortably. 2. Tuesday Takeaways: NFL Week 1 Reactions

Welcome to the newest series on the blog, "Tuesday Takeaways", where we write about 5 things that we found interesting about the weekends games. With the first week of the NFL finished, it is time to discuss what stood out! Let me know what reactions you guys had to this weekends slate of games! 1. Mahomes, Lamar, Allen (and Stroud?) are in a league of their own. Other than a brainfart interception to end the first half, Mahomes was nearly perfect in executing what the Chiefs needed from him on Thursday. Rashee Rice seems like he is picking up where he finished last year, and Hollywood Brown is on his way still. Chiefs are the clear team to beat. Lamar was not perfect by his standards, having a few questionable decisions and missing a few throws (including the tying touchdown). Despite this the reigning MVP was a dynamic runner and still made great plays. In what was a subpar game for his standards Lamar was still very good and almost led the comeback. Allen was extremely im
