Grading the 2025 First Round Picks

The 1st Round of the NFL Draft has been concluded! There were surprise trades and exciting picks galore! These are just some quick thoughts of mine immediately following the conclusion of the first round. Please comment some of your favorite picks of the first round and how you feel about who your team picked! 1. Tennesse Titans - Cam Ward, QB: A- While Ward maybe isn't the absolute best #1 prospect in recent years, he has star upside and the Titans secure what they hope to be the Quarterback of the future! Now time to get him some real weapons (Luther Burden).  2. Jacksonville Jaguars - Travis Hunter, WR/CB: A+ The Jaguars new regime made a big splash and got a generational talent to excite the fans in Duval! And the haul they traded away was nothing outrageous at all. 3. New York Giants - Abdul Carter, EDGE: A Simple case of BPA. Carter, Thibodeaux, and Dexter Lawrence have potential to create a scary pass rush in New York. In the case that the Giants think that Kayvon Thibodeaux...

It is almost Draft Day! One of the most exciting sporting days of the year. Each and every team and fanbase get to celebrate their team getting better! While it is nearly impossible to correctly mock what a team will do in a draft, here are some of my predictions on what will happen night one. I threw in a few trades just for fun! Comment who you want your favorite team to draft! 1st Round 1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami 2. Cleveland Browns: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado 3. New York Giants: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State 4. New England Patriots: Will Campbell, OL, LSU 5. Chicago Bears (via JAX): Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State 6. Las Vegas Raiders: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri 7. New York Jets: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State 8. Carolina Panthers: Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia 9. NBA 1st Round Predictions!

The Play In games have concluded and we now have the NBA playoff seeding officially set. The playoffs start this Easter weekend and I think we are in store for an elite postseason! Down below I am giving my predictions for each first round matchup. Comment which matchup you are most excited to watch and some of your predictions! Western Conference (1) Oklahoma City Thunder vs (8) Memphis Grizzlies: OKC in 5 The Thunder have had a historical season led by SGA's MVP campaign. The Grizzlies have more than enough talent to steal a game or two but their struggles against playoff teams this year have been well documented. OKC have been a level above the field this season and will not be victim to any true scares in the first round. (4) Denver Nuggets vs (5) Los Angeles Clippers: LAC in 7 This series is so intriguing to me. Denver has the best player in basketball for the past half-decade and I am of the thought that if you have the best player in the world you have a chance to go all th...

Reactions to Grizzlies Play-In Loss

There is nothing that I love more than Memphis Grizzlies hoops. I build my weekly schedules around "meaningless" November games. The joys of Grizzlies wins brings me adrenaline rushes like not much else and the devastation of losses is equally crushing. On Tuesday night the Memphis Grizzlies furious rally from a twenty point deficit against the Golden State Warriors came up just short, causing the Grizzlies to drop to 0-9 in the state of California this season. This loss truly captured the feelings that fans of the Grizzlies have felt throughout the season. Lots of fun and exciting things but even more memorable are the moments of frustration and inexcusable mistakes. The Grizzlies will have one more chance to make the playoffs as the 8 seed in the West as they will host the winner of tonight's game between Sacramento and Dallas. Whether the Grizzlies barely make it into the postseason or limp into the lottery remains to be seen but I stand by saying this might be the mo...

NBA Awards 2025

The 2024-25 NBA regular season has come to an end! The Play-In games start this week to kick off the postseason. This was an incredibly exciting season and I personally think the playoffs could be among the most entertaining we've seen in years. With the season concluding, here is how I would vote for each NBA Award. This was a very difficult selection due to many players not meeting the games minimum requirement, and just a surplus of talent in the league! Please comment any differences you would have for your personal selections! MOST VALUABLE PLAYER Shai Gilgeous-Alexander One of the greatest MVP races of all time. Jokic and Shai had some of the best seasons in the history of basketball. You can make a case for either. Ultimately it came down to which player contributed to more winning this season, giving Shai his first MVP award! DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR Dyson Daniels Daniels set the record for most steals in a season and leads the league in deflections. Maybe the best POA ...

Mock Draft 2.0: Post March Madness!

The college basketball season has sadly come to an end. That means we are officially moving towards the NBA playoffs and offseason. While there is much to change with the transfer portal and whatever happens in the NBA postseason, it is still a fun exercise to think about what prospects can help NBA teams and look at who helped their stock the most in March. Please comment what prospects you may be higher or lower and who you want your team to draft!  Lottery odds simulated via Tankathon* 1. Washington Wizards: Cooper Flagg, F, Duke The Wizards add one of the best prospects we've seen in recent history. Flagg will be the gem of their already intriguing young core. 2. Brooklyn Nets: Dylan Harper, G, Rutgers The Nets finally add a blue chip prospect to build their roster around. Harper is the clear #2 prospect in this class to me and has All-Star upside. 3: New Orleans Pelicans: VJ Edgecombe, G, Baylor The Pelicans look to add to their backcourt. Edgecombe looks to fill in as the eve...
