Tuesday Takeaways: NFL Week 17 Reactions

Week 17! We had constant football throughout the week with football on Christmas, Thursday, Saturday, and of course on Sunday and Monday. Most playoff spots have been secured, it is just a matter of seeding. Week 18 means everything for some teams and absolutely nothing for others. With that being said, here are some standout things to me from this past non-stop week of NFL! Comment below your thoughts or reactions! 1. The Chiefs are peaking at the right time. The Chiefs are 15-1 but we all have heard that they just "don't look as dominant as years past". Kansas City is heating up (if you can say that about a team who has only one loss) right in time for postseason. Everything about Kansas City is starting to click offensively. Mahomes has thrown for 20 touchdowns and just 3 interceptions since Week 8. Xavier Worthy is starting to find his footing and has become a quality threat. The offensive line has only given up 1 sack in the last three weeks, all while going up again...

Tuesday Takeaways: NFL Week 16 Reactions

Happy Holidays! Week 16 has come and gone and we are in the end game of the 2024 regular season. Here are some of the things that caught my eye this past weekend. Please comment below your thoughts and reactions to Week 16! 1. Jonathan Taylor did his best to make up for his blunder last week. While not officially eliminated, the Colts week 15 loss to the Broncos all but ended their playoff hopes. Instead of making it a two touchdown game, JT dropped the ball out of the back of the end zone, giving the ball to Denver, sparking a 24-0 Broncos run. Post-game, Taylor apologized and said that those mistakes would never happen again. He backed up his promise by having one of the most dominant performances of any NFL player this season with 218 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns, including a 65 and 70 yard touchdown. It looked like the 2020 and 2021 version of Taylor where one could argue he was the best back in the league. Injuries have slowed him down slightly the last few years but he has...

5 NBA Trades I'd Like To See

The holiday season is upon us, which means that the season of giving is also here! Some teams are looking to improve their chances at winning a championship while some teams are looking to improve their future aspects. Here are 5 trade ideas that I think make sense for both sides. Comment below what you think of each trade and trades you would like to see your teams make!! 1. OKC makes big splash to go all in. Thunder Get: John Collins, Collin Sexton The rich get richer in Oklahoma City. They have to trade away fan favorite role players in this trade, but they get back the two best players in this trade. Championship windows can evaporate in an instant, so the Thunder must capitalize on their opportunity. They already have a championship level roster and have the assets to upgrade even more. Collins is having a career year from behind the arc, shooting nearly 44% from three. Adding him to Chet and IHart gives OKC the best front court rotation in the league. Sexton is an elite transiti...

Tuesday Takeaways: NFL Week 15 Reactions

We are in the final stages of the regular season! Award races are coming down to the wire, the last few playoff teams are battling it out. Exciting stuff. Here are a few of my thoughts regarding the Week 15 slate of games. As always, comment below your thoughts from this weekend and what you are looking forward to from the next three weeks! 1. The Broncos have two DPOY candidates on the same team. Pat Surtain II deservedly gets the media attention as the star of the Denver Broncos stellar defensive unit, but Nik Bonitto is playing at an All-Pro level as well. The third year linebacker is third in the league in sacks and is the first player in over a decade to have double digit sacks and multiple touchdowns, JJ Watt being the last to do so. Bonitto has had back to back 50+ yard touchdowns in the last two games and consistently makes game changing plays. He applies pressure at an elite rate and is one of the best pass rushers in the entire league. If his play continues over the next...

Tuesday Takeaways: NFL Week 14 Reactions

We are creeping closer and closer to playoff time! Games are starting to feel more intense and the stars are proving their worth. Down below are some of my thoughts and reactions to this past weekend's games. As always please comment your own thoughts and reactions below! 1. Giving a future Hall of Famer his flowers. One of the more elite players of our time at his position has often been overlooked. George Kittle was drafted at the tail end of the prime of Rob Gronkowski and has been overshadowed by the greatness of Travis Kelce. Lost amongst those two legends has been the spectacular production of Kittle. For my money one of the greatest to ever do it at the tight end position. He is a beast after the catch, knows how to run a route, has phenomenal hands, and has been one of the best blocking tight ends for close to a decade. He may be the most well rounded TE in the league. He has been a model of consistency this season that was capped off this weekend by a 6 catch 151 yard exp...

Tuesday Takeaways: NFL Week 13 Reactions

Another wild week of football! We had NFL games spread out over three days this holiday weekend. This report is going to highlight some things that stood out from the past weekend. As always please comment what stood out to you from Week 13 of the NFL season!  1. I need to give the Green Bay Packers their flowers. I have talked about most teams so far this season, especially playoff teams, but one team that has just flown under my radar has been the Green Bay Packers. They currently sit at 9-3 and are going to be one of the scarier Wild Card teams for any opponent. Their offense is third in the league in YPG and their defense has taken the ball away from opponents the fifth most times in the NFL. They have a fairly favorable schedule to finish out the season and it would not shock me to see them finish with 12 to 13 wins! I want to give another quick shoutout to Josh Jacobs. There has been much discourse this season about veteran running backs finding new life in new situations wit...
