The first round of the 2024 NBA Draft has officially concluded! Let me know your thoughts on tonight's selections and comment predictions for the second round tomorrow!! Reaction to Each Pick 1. ATL - Zaccharie Risacher: Not a fan of this pick. Could be a good NBA player but one of the most underwhelming #1 picks of the last decade. 2. WAS - Alex Sarr: They got the most consensus top prospect in the draft. Potentially a building block for the rebuild. 3. HOU - Reed Sheppard: I'm a little lower on Sheppard than some but think this is a good fit for the Rockets. 4. SAS - Stephon Castle: Great pick. Love the upside of Castle and think he can be a great foundational piece alongside Wemby 5. DET - Ron Holland: The Pistons got the best player in the draft (in my opinion) but the fit is slightly questionable. Always > Fit when picking top 5 tho. 6. CHA - Tidjane Salaun: Lol 7.  As draft night approaches, this is my final ranking of this year's NBA draft prospects. While the top 10 lacks the star power we usually see, there is a lot of depth and quality role players that I believe we will see have successful careers in the league. This list from about 25-60 is super fluid and there are plenty of fringe players who missed out on the final ranking that could easily interchange for me. With the NBA season finally over, we reflect back on how each team performed this season. We look forward to what promises to be a busy and exciting offseason in the NBA! Eastern Conference Atlanta Hawks: C- The Atlanta Hawks once again fell into mediocrity for the 2023-24 season. They had the 5th highest PPG total in the NBA but gave up almost 121 points a game, which was third worst in the league. They did deal with injuries as Trae Young, DeAndre Hunter, Jalen Johnson and Onyeka Okungwu combined for 106 total missed games. With the decline of Clint Capela and the total disappearance of sophomore AJ Griffin, the Hawks simply did not have enough to compete even in a weaker East.  Bright Spot: The emergence of Jalen Johnson is very exciting for the future of Atlanta. Johnson was easily on pace to win the MIP before having his season end with injury. Offseason Question
